ABOUT

Passionate about furniture from the 60s, I hunt for and restore armchairs in order to give them a new life.

Each armchair is chosen with care, for its design, its elegance and/or the balance of its forms. If the signed armchairs are always a source of particular excitement, there are also many other pieces of character to hunt for. And the pleasure of giving them new life is the same! With us, there is no question of leaving them on the floor.

The second step is to redo the upholstery. Here we will try to find the original shapes and an ultra softness. As for the woodwork or structures, I generally prefer to leave them in their original state, the few scratches or signs of wear attest to their history and give them just that little extra soul. But it happens that they are too damaged or in their juice, in this case, I attack it also.
Then, and this is probably my favorite step, I look for THE fabric* that will suit and that will give the chair all its beauty. The challenge is to respect the original spirit of the armchair by looking for a style of fabric and a fiber that has a link with the original while at the same time giving it a touch of brilliance and a bit of modernity.
In the end, a unique armchair which will find its place in all interiors by instantly giving them a unique cachet.
* There are upholstery fabrics in all ranges and at all prices on the market. If you want to restore a design classic, it is advisable to take a suitable high-quality fabric. Not only their rendering is incomparable but they have a much greater longevity as well as maintenance. simpler.
I also do custom orders. I will be happy to look at your project with you, do not hesitate to contact me if you have an armchair that you would like to bring up to date!
